Durresi Restaurant Coney Island: A Hidden Gem for Comfort Food Lovers

I have only been there once (today). Not sure how all of their food is but the Corned Beef on Rye was very good and if I lived in the area I'd be a regular customer, not so much for the food but the Beautiful, genuine smile of the Waitress Alexis. There is Sweet then there is really sweet.

The lady named Nyle at the register was very nice and welcoming. Her great customer services and smile alone would be the reason I will return. Where's the good energy there's great food

I ordered a southern omelet..my hash browns tasted burnt I'll order something different if I go back

Went to Durresi Coney Island with a friend, Jan 2, 2025, after leaving another restaurant because of the smell and high prices, and was greeted by Nikki who, despite our never being in this restaurant before, acted like she's known us forever! She was so funny and pleasant; it was a lot of fun to be and eat there. The prices are reasonable, and the food was great! I would definitely recommend this place. It was neat and clean and didn't smell at all :) It's great for a family, too.

Food was delicious, generous portions at reasonable price. The washroom was extremely smelly.

This coney has been in place for a long time. Good food is always remembered. I 1st encountered this gem when I worked for the dealership up the street. Fast forward 22 years and its still there . I always remembered how good the chili was and the breakfast was even better. I found out it changed ownership 3 years ago and was taken over by a guy and his sons Ayden and Sam. Both boys under 21 , they really knew how to run the place. I ordered a burger, chili cheese fries, and moz Stix. The burger was cooked to perfection, it really looked like when they make stuff to take pictures for a menu or something. The fries has a generous amount of chilli, and yes it still was the same tasting stuff from years ago. The cheese sticks were tasty as well. What stood out was the friendliness of the two boys , proud to be helping dad out and trying to uphold the business and reputation of the place. They met any request I had with speed and excellence. You can tell the pride they have in doing what they do. It's good to see family come together like that, you can tell they have a mutual respect for each other. I think anyone would appreciate how this place is ran and how the food is made. They definitely put all the effort into it. I recommend trying this place, if you haven't you won't be disappointed.

Enjoyable breakfast. Very nice and friendly waitress. The food was great. The grits were the best!!! Very creamy! Everyone really liked their food. It was recommended because so many people come there. One thing I noticed was they were steady wiping and cleaning the work area. That is great!!!
